The National Army destroyed a cocaine processing lab that produced 2.5 tons per month to finance terrorism in Guaviare

The military operation, carried out in the rural area of El Rosal, resulted in the destruction of 329 kilograms of cocaine hydrochloride, as well as a large quantity of solid and liquid supplies used for narcotics processing.

According to preliminary information, this illegal complex had a monthly production capacity of approximately 2.5 tons of cocaine hydrochloride, equivalent to a value of approximately 3.652 billion pesos.

With this result, the National Army has significantly disrupted the criminal finances of this illegal armed structure of the Jorge Suárez Briceño Bloc GAO-r, under the criminal leadership of its leader, alias Calarcá. Likewise, the sale of millions of doses of narcotics is prevented, and the illicit economies that finance terrorist actions and criminal activities against the civilian population and the security forces in southeastern Colombia are weakened.

These operations take on special relevance in the context of the elections to be held on May 31, which are already receiving operational coverage from Omega Task Force troops, with the aim of ensuring the necessary security conditions so that rural communities can exercise their right to vote with full confidence and freedom.

The National Army will continue to carry out sustained and offensive military operations to neutralize the capabilities of the Jorge Suárez Briceño Bloc and to continue protecting the security, stability, and peace of the communities in the departments of Meta, Guaviare, and Caquetá.
