National Army deals a blow to drug trafficking in Meta: over 200 kilograms of coca paste seized

The operation was carried out by setting up a checkpoint in the area known as La Ye, in the municipality of San Juan de Arama, where a high-end SUV used to transport the narcotic was intercepted.

During the operation, two men were arrested who, according to preliminary information, were apparently working for the criminal organization led by Ever Castro on a subcontracting basis. Additionally, 223 kilograms of coca base paste were seized, and the material was turned over to the competent authorities for the respective legal proceedings.

With this operational success, the Seventh Brigade is undermining the finances of drug trafficking organizations operating in the region, weakening their logistical and criminal capabilities.

The Fourth Division will continue to carry out coordinated and interagency operations that contribute to the security of Colombians and the direct fight against illicit economies that threaten the peace, development, and stability of communities.
