The Command of the Thirtieth Brigade, an organic unit of the Second Division of the National Army, is allowed to report that:
1. At approximately 1:00 in the afternoon, in facts that are the subject of an investigation by the competent authorities, in the sector of Caño Grande, San Bernando del Viento, Córdoba, our first deputy sergeant Alean Barragán Cegrid Antonio is murdered.
2. The non-commissioned officer, organic of the 30th Combat Support and Services Battalion, was on leave in the region, due to a request of his own to attend his father's funeral.
3. According to preliminary information, our non-commissioned officer was allegedly killed by members of outlaw groups that commit crimes in the area.
4. This Command has informed the competent authorities, in order to establish the circumstances of time, manner, and place in which the unfortunate event occurred.
5. The command of the Second Division deeply regrets the murder of our non-commissioned officer and extends the most sincere condolences to his relatives and loved ones. The institution rejects the murder of our non-commissioned officer, who was in a state of defenselessness.
