Alias ‘Juliana & William’ fled from Farc and handed themselves in as they were going to be parents

When this young couple discovered they were going to be parents, they decided to flee their subversive squad and regain their liberty.
‘Juliana y Wiliam’ surrendered to troops from Operational Command Number Five, stationed in the vicinity of the municipality of Algeciras, in the Department of Huila.
Alias ‘William’, who assured us they had fled the illegally armed group because of ill treatment, had been with the organization for seven years as a guerrilla. The 21-year-old youngster had been assigned to the Compañía Héctor Ramírez, from the Interfrente Caguán del Bloque Sur, operating in the general area of Cartagena del Chaira, Caquetá.
Meanwhile, alias ‘Juliana’, escaped from Farc being six months pregnant, after serving eight years and experiencing the horrors of war. Nowadays, the young woman has given birth to a baby girl who was born at the facilities of the Ejército Nacional where she has found support for reintegration into civilian life and to live her role as a mother and wife.
The two youngsters initiated the process of incorporation into the Humanitarian Demobilization Program.
