The Army radio stations diffuse programs and institutional messages with participative, popular, educational, cultural and recreational, that prettend to achieve the invigoration of the democracy, the essential securities of the nationality, the military civil integration and the civic solidarity in support to the Democratic Security politics of the Presidency of the Republic.
Due to the easiness of this media reception and its penetration power in all the social strata and at all the education levels, the National Army has intended to use it as an approach mechanism toward the population, not only looking for its support but narrowing the bonds of ownership between the citizens and its soldiers.
The specific objectives of the military radio in Colombia are: Achieve the support, and the rural and urban population's solidarity; increase the morals, spirit of fight and sense of ownership of the own troops; achieve the demobilization and surrender of the weapons from the terrorists to national level and to smash their fight will; and support the execution of programs and campaigns promoted by the State.
The Army radio system has a main radio station located in Bogotá, from where programs of national interest are emitted; and 31 radio stations located in different domestic regions, which have their own programming.
